Breast Asymmetry Q & A

written by Gavin Sandercoe

Question -

Hi, I am 24 and seriously considering breast augmentation/correction. When I got measured in a bra shop, they measured me as having 8D cups, however, they are quite widely spaced on my chest, do not appear full at all (they do not seem large enough to be a D in comparison to my friend’s breasts of the same size). It is impossible for me to get a cleavage no matter how I try (chicken fillets, push up bras etc…) In addition to this, I think I have

Question -

Hello I’m 19 and have slight tubular breasts and asymmetry. Currently i can barely fill out an A cup bra. I have had 2 consults both with fully certified plastic surgeons but am very confused as each one recommended different things for me.

So the first plastic surgeon recommended I get over the muscle with textured tear drop implants, and the surgery would be classed as corrective surgery of breast asymmetry since my breasts were more then 10%

Question -

What is the best way to sleep after the operation?

Dr Sandercoe’s response -

HI Anonymous

Soundly is best.

The only thing that most surgeons want is for the implants to stabilise in their new pocket before they are pushed around too much. Sleeping on your back will stop your body weight from pushing your implants around you sleep if you tend to sleep on your front.

Question -

I had my B/A 2 weeks ago and I have a small dissolvable stitch poking out on the right side of each breast. I am 4hrs away from my PS. How long should I leave it like this or should I go to a GP and have him trim it back?? I don’t see my PS for another 5 weeks.

Dr Sandercoe’s Response -

Hi Anonymous

At two weeks, that small dissolvable stitch could be safely clipped by your GP. If the

Question -

I’m 28 and am planning to have a breast enlargement sometime in the next 6 months. A year ago I had a consultation with a surgeon in a different state and he told me I have slightly asymmetrical breasts. I am only an A cup but one breast is slightly smaller in size and the nipple sits about an inch higher (I imagine this is only due to it being a smaller breast). During my research I have come across a few surgeons who say breast augmentation for

Breast Lift: Q&A – Is There Always Residual Scar Tissue with a Breast Lift? How Does This Impact Future Mammagrams?

written by Gavin Sandercoe

Question:

I am considering a BL without augmentation. The surgeon will be using my own tissue to perform a lollipop lift. I was informed that since I have enough breast tissue, this technique would give me the upper pole fulness I desire without the use of an implant. Do breast lifts leaves scars? Does the type of lift, lollipop, anchor or nipple, affect the degree of scarring? Which one is less traumatic to the breasts? Since I have met with surgeons who offer different

Brazilian Butt Lift: Q&A – When Can You Get BBL and TT Surgery After Pregnancy?

written by Gavin Sandercoe

Question:

I was wondering how long I would have to wait to schedule consults and to get the actual surgery for the BBL and TT after pregnancy. I’m 28 weeks and anxious to get my body back after having 3 babies (11yrs, 10yrs, 1yr) and one on the way. I won’t be breastfeeding so I’m not sure how or if that will make a difference or not. Also if I should lose weight after having the baby? I’m 5’3″ and I normally get down to 150 with no
