In the following video, you get an insight of how Dr. Gavin Sandercoe of Northwest Plastic and cosmetic surgery in Sydney is operating on a patient and you see how the breast reduction is done in a defined procedure. The video shows, Dr. Gavin Sandercoe performing surgery on a patient with large breasts. The surgery begins with marking the new areola circumference using a cookie cutter followed by creating a segment of tissue to supply the nipple during the lift (pedicle). Thereafter, Dr. Sandercoe removes the breast tissue so that the breast can be reshaped.

Once the breast tissue removal process is complete, the trial closure and test shaping is done. The nipple inset is then done with a cookie cutter followed by a trial nipple inset.

Once the surgery on a breast is done, the same procedure is followed on the other breast. Both the breasts are then checked for any asymmetry while the patient sits up and the breasts are then closed using dissolving sutures. In this video, the patient you see had 480g removed from her left breast and 440g from the right one. At the end of the video you see pictures of the patient after the breast reduction and abdominoplasty surgery is complete followed by the before and after pictures of breast reduction and abdominoplasty surgery of the patient.
