Salicylic Acid Peels, Program $360
Salicylic Acid (derived from the bark of certain trees) is a Beta Hydroxy Acid (BHA) peel. It works on the deeper layers of the skin, penetrating as far as the Stratum Germinativum. It is more intensive than a peel you would receive in a beauty salon.
BHA peels work on the same principal as an AHA peel, breaking down the glue between the skin cells, but at a much deeper level. As it has its own natural anti inflammatory agents, it can be less irritating to the skin. Salicylic peels are layered on to the skin, beginning with one layer the first treatment, and then adding subsequent layers every 4 weeks according to your skin reaction. Norwest Plastic and Cosmetic Surgery’s Salicylic Peels are 20% salicylic acid and have a pH of 2-2.5. There are two different salicylic acid peels that we offer.
Aspects Pigment Punch Clarity Peel
Aspects Pigment Punch Clarity Peel helps to clear and restore your complexion so that your skin glows from within. Pigment Punch Clarity Peel is suitable for the management of epidermal and hormonal hyperpigmentation, age spots and skin discolourations. This peel combines clinical strength Alpha and Beta Hydroxy Acids to lift away the dull, discoloured skin cells whilst whitening the skin through optically pure Vitamin C and Tyrostat. Your skin must prepared for at least 2 weeks prior to the first treatment with Aspect Dr’s Starter Pack to avoid adverse side effects, such as blanching. The Complete Pigment Serum is also very important to prevent post inflammatory hyperpigmentation.

Aspects Cabernet au Chocolat
This age reversal salicylic acid peel helps resurface the skin, combating the signs of ageing, including uneven skin tone, fine lines and epidermal pigment. The Beta Hydroxy Acids resurface the skin, removing old, dull and discoloured layers of skin cells. This leaves a radiant, clear complexion below. The results are aided with the extracts of red wine and cacao in the peel, which have an anti oxidant effect on the new cells underneath, protecting and brightening the new layers of skin as they are brought to the surface. The Cabernet au Chocolat peel leaves your skin appearing firmer, energised and youthful.
